Stevens Community Medical Center is located in the rural community of Morris on the prairie of west central Minnesota.  With an approximate population of 5,300, Morris is located 165 miles northwest of Minneapolis/St.Paul and 105 miles southeast of Fargo.  When you choose to live in the community of Morris, you will experience a quality of life that words cannot adequately describe. Hunt, fish, enjoy a walk or bike ride through naturally preserved habitat or visit one of many nearby lakes.  Morris is also home to the University of Minnesota, Morris campus. Student Loan Forgiveness Opportunities
SCMC has programs and loan repayment opportunities available to eligible primary care and mental health providers who join our team. This includes Physicians, Advanced Practitioners, RN's, and Mental Health Providers. Group Health Insurance - Available to employees classified as regularly scheduled 30 or more hours per week.  2 plans to choose from.  Enrolled employees are also eligible for a Health Rewards program and a digital fitness program. 

Dental Insurance - No-network plan available for employees regularly available to be scheduled 30 or more hours per week.

Life Insurance - Eligible employees receive 1x annual salary in life insurance benefits, part-time eligible employees receive $7,500 in life insurance benefits.  Supplemental (voluntary) insurance coverages such as spouse and dependent life insurance, Short Term Disability and other voluntary coverages may be purchased by the employee.

Long Term Disability Insurance - Provided at no cost for eligible employees.

Paid Time Off - Vacation and holidays all combined into one PTO plan.  Accrual increases by length of service. 

Earned Safe and Sick Time (ESST) - Sick leave earned at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked per plan details. 

Health Savings Account - Available for use with the High Deductible Healthcare Plan, employees may contribute up to limits set annually by the IRS.

Flexible Spending Accounts - Available for both health and dependent care.

Money Purchase Pension Plan- Employer contribution made after one year of employment and 1,000 hours worked. Employee is 100% vested after 3 years of employment.

403(B) Retirement Plan - Employee contributions can be made immediately upon hire. Employer match of 50% of the first 4% of eligible compensation will occur after 1 year of service in which you work 1,000 hours.

Eyewear Discount - All employees and their immediate family members are eligible for a 30% discount on eyewear purchased in the Eye Gallery at SCMC (upon completion of 3 months of employment).

Bereavement Leave - 3 days off with pay to replace scheduled work days following the death of an immediate family member for employees scheduled 30 or more hours/week.

Employee Assistance Program - Free confidential and professional assessment and referral services for employees and their family members.

Affordable Meals - Nutritious meals available in the cafeteria daily for an affordable price. Hot lunch, grab and go sandwiches, and salad bar options are available daily.

Lactation Friendly Facility - Nursing mothers have designated rooms available for use when nursing or pumping.

Phone Discounts - Verizon and Sprint discounts are available to all employees.

Outdoor Dining - Enjoy your meal or break on our outdoor patio.

Tobacco-Free Environment - The entire SCMC campus (including the parking lots) is tobacco-free.
