Emergency Medicine

At SCMC, we have a physician available 24 hours a day, seven days a week in our Emergency Department. Our physicians and staff are highly trained professionals who treat patients in distress.

SCMC is a Level 4 Trauma and Acute Stroke Ready Hospital. Acute Stroke Readiness allows SCMC to implement some of the latest research with the care we provide. SCMC also provides TeleStroke services to patients. TeleStroke services, available 24/7, save valuable time and brain which allows patients to recover quicker and suffer less disability. With any stroke, time is a crucial factor to prevent further brain injury and our ability to provide proper stroke care can only help. Having these designations assures SCMC is focused on your care.

If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, call 911 or visit the nearest emergency room.

Visit our Urgent Care page for details on additional care options.
