All patients are admitted on the advice and order of a physician. The administration retains the right to deny admission, criteria needs to be met to certify your stay. Additionally, SCMC retains the right to discharge anyone who fails to cooperate with SCMC, its staff and management, or those who refuse to accept financial responsibility for services provided.
Upon admission, should your condition be such that you are unable to handle your own affairs, a legal guardian or conservator should be appointed.

The information requested during the admissions process is vital to our hospital’s medical and legal records. It is kept in the strictest confidence. Your record will be kept on file electronically and may be of value to you for future reference.
What to Bring
When planning for a stay with us, please bring complete insurance information with you. We will make a copy of your card for your electronic medical record. We will also ask about your current demographics and contact information. Please bring your medications or a complete list of your current medications including the name of prescription, dosage, and frequency.
