You are invited to join us in promoting and improving health for all! Fall into Health is a annual community health initiative sponsored by Stevens Community Medical Center that focuses on connecting our health-related community resources to the general public. There will be lots of giveaways, and definitely something for all ages! FREE Breakout Sessions, FREE Labs, a FREE community meal, FREE health-related info booths, FREE Yoga and NEW this year there will be a chance to win an electric bike! Daycare will be onsite if needed and provided by the Morris Area Girl Scout Troop 481. Flu shots & COVID-19 vaccine will also be available.
FREE Labs Draws
Lab draws will include Glucose, Cholesterol, Hemoglobin (Hgb), and Vitamin D. No appointments needed. Note: Your results will be mailed back to you in a week or less. It is up to you to share these results with your primary care provider.
FREE Community Meal
A FREE fall-inspired community meal. The 2024 Fall into Health meal will consist of grilled sandwich with shredded turkey, cranberry sauce & cheese with butternut squash soup and a carrot, beet and kale salad served with a pumpkin vinaigrette dressing. Dessert will include caramel apple bar. Water and milk will be available. SCMC works diligently to find a healthy balance and source items locally for this meal. There will be recipe cards and nutrition information visible and available at the event as well.
FREE Health-Related Info Booth
Stop by the number of SCMC and community health booths. Our invited health partners can register on our site with the Register a Booth button on top of this page. If you have any questions about being invited to participate in this event, please call (320) 208-7803 or (320) 589-7631. The only criteria to register a booth is your initiative/business should provide a health service to our community.
Flu Shots/COVID-19 Vaccine
You do need to register in advance. Book online with the Sign up for a Flu Shot button or call (320) 589-7600 to schedule. Appointments are available from 5-7 pm. Walk-ins are welcome.
FREE Breakout Sessions & FREE Yoga
Back by popular demand we have health-related topics for breakout sessions from various SCMC providers and specialties. Topics to include:
Dementia & Caring for the Aging 5:00pm Krisie Barron, Licensed Social Worker
Dermatology Health 5:30pm with SCMC Dermatologist, Dr. Michael Cashman
High Blood Pressure 6:00pm with SCMC Pharmacist, Evan Varga
Closer look at Concussions 6:30pm with NovaCare Physical Therapist, Elizabeth Jenson
Yoga Sessions will be available for only 10 minutes at 5:30 & 6:30pm in the Media Center.
A special children's yoga will be at 6:00pm.
