Nursing Assistant, Morris Clinic

Full time nursing assistant with bilingual skills to work with multiple specialties.  Nursing Assistant certificate preferred. 


Part-time, 32 hours/week position. Serves as a liaison between Stevens Community Medical Center and the community at large. Specifically to raise awareness and improve community knowledge through marketing, committees and community organizations. Responsible for overseeing volunteer services at SCMC, act as a community representative for facility, attend monthly community meetings and works with the marketing department directly. This position works with all employees and coordinates all volunteers, internships and job shadowing. Marketing experience and event planning helpful. Candidate must be a self-starter, organized and have strong communication skills.

Radiologic Technologist

Roster position available for an ARRT or ARRT eligible individual.  CT experience preferred.  Potential for on-call weekdays and weekends.

B.S. RN Summer Internship Program

Stevens Community Medical Center is offering a wonderful opportunity for the right candidate who is preparing for a career in nursing.  You will experience firsthand what it's like to work for our outstanding rural organization. 

The Summer Internship Program provides clinical experience for nursing students, critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills.  You will be paired with a Registered Nurse mentor.  A comprehensive clinical experience in medical, surgical, emergency, and obstetric settings will be provided. 

This 10 week paid internship program is open to active students enrolled in a Baccalaureate Degree nursing program between Junior and Senior years.  Program duration is June 2018 and is completed in August 2018. 

Program Objectives & Goals:

This experience is meant to ensure quality nursing care for patients and to promote professional nursing practics.  The students will be able to: 

  1. Collect subjective and objective assessment data to be reviewed and used by their mentor.
  2. Assist in the developing, implementing and evaluating of care for assigned patients.
  3. Assist Mentor in performing the following procedures: 
  •  a.  Administration of oral, intramuscular, subcutaneous and intravenous medications.
  •  b.  IV insertion
  •  c.  Monitoring IV sites, dressings, and rates
  •  d.  Non-medicated IV's including tubing changes
  •  e.  Changing of TPN bags
  •  f.  Dressing changes
  •  g.  Nasogastric tube insertion and care
  •  h.  Urinary catheter insertion and care
  •  i.  Oral, endotracheal, and tracheal suctioning
  •  j.  Bowel elimination care
  •  k.  Specimen collection
  •  l.  Documentation of care provided.
  •  m. SBAR bedside shift report.

To participate in the Summer Internship Program you must meet the following criteria:

  • Students that are in good standing and enrolled in a Baccalaureate Degree nursing program between Junior and Senior year are eligible.
  • Meet all of Stevens Community Medical Center job-related health requirements
  • Provide proof of current CPR certification
  • Complete the SCMC application process
  • Receive acceptable evaluations from your references

Frequently Asked Questions

Program Dates:  June 2018 to August 2018 (specific dates TBD)

Orientation:  Orientation to familiarize students with hospital and nursing information will be provided.

Work Schedule:  The student will work a full-time schedule 36-40 hours per week; on-call shifts are included in these hours.  Rotating shifts:  Days, Evenings, Nights & Weekends.  You will be expected to work your preceptor's schedule.

Salary:  Hourly wage is $12.00

Uniforms:  Students will be expected to purchase their own uniforms.

Continuing Education:  Students are encouraged to attend staff meetings and education programs available during the Summer Internship Program experience.

Request for Time off:  In order to receive the full clinical benefit of the program, we encourage students to plan special events before or after the Summer Internship Program experience.

Part-time evening shift, every other weekend--must be 18 years of age.  CNA certification preferred.


PT (20 hrs/week), rotating weekends and holidays.  Direct interaction with patients, physicians, and nursing staff for appointment scheduling, registration with check-in and switchboard.  Excellent customer service skills required. Ability to work in high activity environment with accuracy.  Medical background preferred. 

RN - Nursing Floor

Full-time with regular scheduled hours and on-call.  Would consider three 12 hour scheduled shifts every weekend, days or nights.  Current RN license required.  Full-time benefits include health, dental, life and disability insurance and vacation/sick leave program.
