Fall into Health has been connecting the community to local resources for 11 years now. You are invited Monday, November 4 from 5-7 pm at the Morris Area Elementary School to participate in all this event has to offer.

The FREE annual event sponsored by Stevens Community Medical Center will once again feature lab testing, informational health-related booths, and a nutritious meal. There will also be flu shots and COVID-19 available during Fall into Health too (pre-register here!)

Also, back by popular demand on the agenda this year is FREE Breakout Sessions on health-related topics from various SCMC providers and specialties. Daycare will be available during the the keynote speaker, provided by area Girl Scout Troop.

FREE COMMUNITY MEAL
A FREE fall-inspired community meal will be available along with a dessert. SCMC works diligently to find a healthy balance and source items locally for this meal. There will be recipe cards and nutrition information visible and available at the event as well.

FREE LAB DRAWS
The FREE lab screenings that SCMC offers have been a crowd favorite too. Labs will be drawn starting at 5:00 and ending at 7:00 pm. No appointments necessary. The labs that are drawn include Glucose, Cholesterol, Hemoglobin (Hgb), and Vitamin D. Your results will be mailed back to you in a week or less. It is up to you to share these results with your primary care provider, but it is also very helpful for you to know your numbers so you can keep your health a priority! If there are any alarming values found from an event that SCMC draws labs at, you will be notified.

HEALTH-RELATED INFO BOOTHS
There will be a variety of information booths showcasing different health-related topics. SCMC will have a number of their services and staff onsite as well. If you are interested and have a ‘healthy-initiative and service’ that relates to our community please reach out to SCMC Marketing Department at (320) 589-7631 OR sign up for a booth here.

FLU SHOT CLINIC
It would not be a complete health event without offering flu shots! Flu shots will be located in the concession stand area. You do need to register in advance. You can sign up on the scmcing.org/fall-into-health page as well. COVID-19 vaccine will also be available. You can call (320) 589-7600. Appointments will be from 5-7 pm.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
As always in an event of this nature, we are kindly asking for individuals and groups that would be interested and willing to volunteer that day. We are looking for help setting up, tearing down, clearing tables during meal, helping serve meal, dish duty. If you would like to help out and volunteer in any of these areas please reach out to the Outreach Coordinator at (320) 208-7803 or sign up to volunteer on our website.

You are invited to join us in promoting and improving health for all! Fall into Health is a community health initiative sponsored by Stevens Community Medical Center that focuses on connecting our health-related community resources to the general public. Together we can make our community a healthier place. We look forward to seeing you on November 4th.
