Stevens Community Medical Center hospital & clinics will be returning back to only two designated caregivers for hospitalized patients, the same two during the patient’s entire stay. There are no visitors for COVID-positive patients unless the patient is a minor. Other necessary exceptions can be discussed with the charge nurse/DON. Remote support from a designated caregiver can also be provided to any patients via electronic methods, arrangements can be made with the nursing staff. These are fluid decisions SCMC COVID Task Team has made based on the recent rise in COVID-19 cases. We will continue to follow the guidance by MDH & CDC. We want to remind you, these are very real cases, and they’re close to home. Our mission is to protect the ones we are caring for. Thank you for your understanding.
