A Milestone Powered by Teamwork and Trusted Care
Stevens Community Medical Center (SCMC) is proud to recognize a significant milestone for its orthopedic program—Dr. Tim Jay has successfully completed 2,000 surgeries in just five years.
While the number itself is impressive, it represents something far more meaningful: 2,000 patients who trusted SCMC with their care, and a coordinated team of professionals committed to helping them heal, move, and return to the activities they love.
“Every surgery is a team effort,” said Dr. Jay. “From the first clinic visit through recovery, it takes a dedicated group working together to provide the best possible outcome for each patient.”
That team includes orthopedic providers, nurses, surgical staff, team of certified nurse anesthetists, rehabilitation specialists, and support teams who work seamlessly across every stage of care. From diagnosis and pre-surgical planning to the operating room and post-operative recovery, patients experience a level of coordination and compassion that defines orthopedic care at SCMC.
This milestone also reflects the strength and growth of orthopedic services at SCMC, where patients can receive high-quality care close to home—without sacrificing expertise or personal attention.
To celebrate this achievement and the patients behind it, SCMC is launching a new social media series:
Fridays with Ortho: Real Stories. Real Results.
Each week, the series will highlight real patient experiences with the SCMC orthopedic team—sharing stories of recovery, resilience, and getting back to what matters most.
