Stevens Community Medical Center (SCMC) is proud to announce the expansion of its Dermatology Department with the addition of Tierza Thormodson, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, who joins established Dermatology Nurse Practitioner Risa Asmus Dorweiler, APRN, ANP-BC. Together, they bring a combined commitment to providing high-quality, comprehensive skin care right here in Morris.
With the team’s expansion, patients now benefit from two dedicated dermatology professionals offering expert evaluation and treatment for a full range of skin conditions — from common concerns like acne, eczema, and rashes to chronic conditions such as psoriasis, and screenings for melanoma and other skin cancers.
Thormodson brings specialized training in dermatology care for all ages, serving infants, children, teens, adults, and seniors. Her arrival strengthens SCMC’s ability to provide timely appointments and broaden access to specialized skin care, close to home.
“We are excited to welcome Tierza and expand our Dermatology Department,” said SCMC President/CEO, Kerrie McEvilly. “Having two dermatology providers allows us to better meet the needs of our community and offer more appointment availability while maintaining the compassionate, skilled care SCMC is known for.”
Tierza Thormodson is now accepting new patients at the SCMC Morris Clinic.
