For 25 years, Courage Cottage has been a place of comfort, hope, and healing for individuals and families facing life’s most difficult moments. This year, Stevens Community Medical Center is proud to celebrate a quarter-century of serving our community through compassionate hospice care while inviting everyone to help ensure this important mission continues for generations to come.
To commemorate this milestone, Courage Cottage will host a 25th Anniversary Pulled Pork Picnic on Thursday, September 17, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The community is invited to enjoy a delicious meal while supporting a cause that has touched countless lives throughout west central Minnesota. Picnic will be located on the lawn of the Courage Cottage.
Meals are $10 each, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting Courage Cottage and its ongoing mission of providing compassionate end-of-life care and support for patients and their loved ones.
In addition to the picnic, supporters can participate in the annual Courage Cottage Raffle. Tickets are $20 each or 6 tickets for $100, with the drawing taking place on Friday, September 18. Every ticket purchased helps sustain the programs, services, and comforts that make Courage Cottage such a special place for families during life’s most meaningful moments. Five winners! Cash prizes up to $500 will be awarded. Need not be present to win.
Since opening its doors 25 years ago, Courage Cottage has become more than a hospice home—it has become a place where dignity is honored, families find peace, and compassionate caregivers walk beside patients with kindness and respect. Community generosity has always played a vital role in making that care possible.
